IBS and KBIS in Orlando drew over 117,000 attendees, and HydroBlok’s expanded presence highlighted a clear 2026 trend: teams want simpler systems, fewer steps, and more predictable project execution.
The International Builders’ Show and KBIS in Orlando delivered more than packed aisles for some 117,000 in participation. For HydroBlok, our exhibit experience — expanded from last year — reinforced what crews and project teams are asking for in 2026: fewer layers, fewer handoffs and more predictable execution.
At the booth, HydroBlok showcased the simplification for two job-site pain points: stucco/stone veneer wall assemblies and shower systems. Our HB One Backer CI™ is a true 4-in-1 system that combines secondary WRB, insulation, lath, and scratch coat into a single high-performance panel. And the HydroBlok HB One Shower System is designed for installation speed and ease – typically less than 3 hours for a standard 3x3 -- with dust-free cutting and no additional vapor barrier required for a standard shower.
Leading Building Innovators
IBS is always about more than products. More importantly, it’s about what challenges we’re solving together in the industry. One theme continues to be a priority: “wellness” for building owners is being considered earlier on the job-site… beginning with the building envelope. Brad Robinson owner and CEO of Bradford Custom Homes & Remodeling, captured it well: “Wellness is not a feature you add at the end. It is a framework that must be built in from day one, starting with the envelope.”
What we observed at IBS 2026
Health + Wellness is being emphasized as a priority for occupants.
Simplification is the new performance standard across construction systems.
Also at the show
HydroBlok's role in stucco/stone veneer assemblies was reinforced.at the Hulk Systems’ booth, where their team emphasized workflow gain recognition. Faster crew sequencing, fewer layers and more predictable results were promoted with Hulk's evolved composite waterproofing mastics when combined with HB One Backer CI's integrated WRB, insulation, lath and scratch coat.
Looking ahead to IBS 2027
The momentum is already building for what’s next. We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations – and celebrating the many innovations to come -- in Las Vegas at Design & Construction Week (IBS/KBIS), Feb. 2–4, 2027.
Our research and development teams continue to focus on what the industry is seeking now… integrated wall assemblies and shower systems that reduce installation steps -- improving jobsite predictability -- while helping crews execute with confidence in today’s tight labor and scheduling realities.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth experience in Orlando. We wholeheartedly appreciate your loyalty and continuing confidence.
